COMMENT

Pre-contact, Tsilhqot'in sources indicate that the St'át'imc originally resided in the now Okanagan Tribe's Similkameen Valley. Dying of disease, and experiencing poor hunting conditions, the Tsilhqot'in invited the St'át'imc to move up into their territory, now Lillooet and Pemberton areas, that they may live more successfully.
