There is a huge controversy regarding which organizations are authentic Cherokee and which are not. Certainly, for the Cherokee to have population of 284,000 is completely out of sync with any other tribe across North America. First Nations Seeker has chosen to follow the US Census minus any organizations on the so-called "Fraud" list.
